Brand: Westin

Westin Hotels & Resorts originated in 1930 from the creativity, ingenuity, and entrepreneurial spirit of a former vaudeville acrobat, a plumber, and two displaced brewers. (A complex story best left to inquisitive Googlers.) Although this motley crew has long since left the lobby, their innovative spirit lives on as one of Westin’s defining characteristics.

  • Guest:The phone didn’t work, so couldn’t call the front desk and the wheelchair paths were heart pounding steep. On the plus side, an employee often offered help in pushing or driving us in a golf cart
  • Guest:Excelent
  • Guest:The rooms were beautiful but be sure to ask very specific questions about where your balcony is facing. Ours had a view of two huge parking lots with construction equipment coming and going as well. We couldn’t open our patio door without hearing loud equipment noise etc. One morning the management decided that employees couldn’t park in the lower lot so we got to hear almost constant confrontational conversations between employees and two security guys telling them they couldn’t park there anymore. The gal at the front desk flat out lied at check-in and said we had a beautiful view of the city at night. Also be sure to factor in that they make you use an app to pay an additional $25 a night for parking and then there’s another $45 a night they add calling it resort fees. As stated above, the rooms are nice, but the grounds and pool area could definitely use some tlc. This isn’t a resort I would return to for those prices.
  • Guest:The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The shower took 10 minutes to get hot.
